Madison, WI

Taylor was goofing off on Priceline the other day, hoping for a cheap getaway this last weekend. We ended up with a Marriot hotel in Madison. And off we went.

THE HIGHLIGHTS:
The hotel was pretty nice.


The sleeping. Nora went to sleep at 7pm in her pack 'n' play. Eliza screamed from 7-7:45pm in her pack 'n' play, then went to sleep. Nora cried out in her sleep at 8pm, waking up Eliza. Mommy threatened to go home if everyone wasn't asleep by 10pm. Eliza moved to Dad's twin bed. At 8:15pm, she wanted to go back to her pack 'n' play. Eliza woke up at 10:15pm. Eliza moved into Mom's twin bed. Mom moved into Dad's twin bed at 10:30pm. Nora woke up at 4:15am to eat. Eliza woke up at 4:30am just to make us mad. Mommy moved back to her original twin bed with Eliza. Eliza woke up for good at 6:30am. Eliza and Daddy watched Enchanted with the headphones on, then at 7am left to get breakfast while Nora and Mommy "slept in."

The food. We originally tried to go to a highly recommended pizza place, but it was pouring rain, our gps was super slow, and I think our address was bogus. We never made it. We did make it to Red Robin, though. Always reliable.

The scenic drive.



The blow out. Nora had an extreme blow out in the car. Baby poop up to her armpits. I've never seen anything like it. We spent twenty minutes cleaning her up in a Harley Davidson parking lot somewhere. Eliza slept through it. A true miracle.
