4 Months Old

Eliza turned 4 months old on October 2nd. She is changing every single day! This last month especially she has reached some milestones. Eliza

can roll over from her back to her tummy (see previous post). she does it whenever we put her on the ground. the funny thing is, though, is she hates being on her tummy, so she starts squealing immediately after she gets on her belly. i don't think the cause and effect part of her brain has been developed yet. :)

is officially afraid of anyone that is not her mommy or daddy, much to the chagrin of her parents. but we are working on it!

has now decided that she wants to be fed twice during the middle of the night. i never appreciated those 8-9 hour stretches while they lasted!

is teething! isn't a bit early for that? but her pediatrician said it was true. apparently she has swollen gums. and i guess her incessant drool backs the diagnosis up.

talks up a storm! she babbles all the time, but babbles best in the car, in her crib when she's trying to go to sleep, and with her daddy. Taylor can always get her talking!

still loves to smile. she can open her mouth so wide! it is even quite shocking. she has a really big mouth, we have learned. she truly can fit her entire fist in there!

went to her new pediatrician, Dr. Kirschner, for her checkup and shots. She weights 14 pounds 8 ounces, measures 25 inches long, and I can't recall her head measurement, but at any rate, she was in the 75% for all three. she is very proportional. :)

still loves to play with (or rather gnaw on) all of her toys. her coordination is improving so much. she can actually reach for and grab her toys all by herself. she can also put her binki in her mouth most of the time, which is quite helpful to me.

Eliza brings so much happiness into our lives. We love her so so much!
